The BODY Buddies network is looking for you!

Join us and become part of our BODY Buddies network. The BODY Buddies network is an essential part of the philosophy behind BODY. During our club evenings we want to foster new connections and build a network of friends and (hopefully) a future community with the BODY Buddies network. The idea behind the BODY Buddies netwerk is to connect people to those outside of their own network - to get to know and to learn from each other. As part of the BODY Buddies network you are a connector, open for questions and conversations during our parties. You will be visible with a yellow bracelet so people see that you are open to connect. There is no obligation to wear your bracelet for the whole night.

As buddies you are not necessarily here to help. The idea is to simply foster connections between people. That is why we specifically chose the name “buddies” and not “buddy” because everyone can learn from each other.BODY Buddies don’t make any assumptions, always ask before doing something. For example, if someone is in a wheelchair dont assume that you need to help, always ask people before acting. After the party we will organize an evaluation in the form of a Body Language, which is a series of public discussions to reflect on our experiences during the night. Hoping to learn and to keep improving ourselves. Your experiences as BODY Buddies will be important to share during this event.

More information about BODY

BODY is a party for all queer bodies, taking place Friday 21 April at RADION. Together we create a dancefloor full of possibilities in which all bodies are treasured. Through music and dance we want to lift our bodies to unknown levels of joy, warmth and intimacy. To let go of everything we've learnt about how a body should be.

We want to build a new (night)culture with the diversity of all bodies in mind. We strongly believe that every individual has important knowledge and experiences, and that all bodies functies in different ways. We want to step away from the societally-created categories that explain how bodies should be, as we believe that these ideas are limiting. Instead we will learn to listen to others to create a new community that is built around respecting people in how they feel and present their body.

We want to achieve this by organizing club nights, talks, art programming and a BODY Buddies network. Looking forward to welcoming you on Friday!

Many thanks,

Team BODY
